Consider motion to approve the purchase of a 2025 Ford Passenger Van AWD for the Parks & Recreation Department in an amount not to exceed $55,460.95.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The Parks & Recreation Department's FY 2025 budget includes the purchase of a new pool van to replace the existing 2008 Chevrolet van. The pricing noted below utilizes the State of Iowa contract 23033 FVN Group 7.2 through Stiver's Ford. An additional price deduction is noted for a 12-seat configuration as requested from by the department.

 

Base Bid: $56,941.00

12-Seat Layout:  ($1,480.05)

Total Price: $55,460.95

 

The trade in value of the existing van will also be deducted from the total, and will be provided within a month of receiving the new vehicle.
FISCAL IMPACT: Yes
With the additional deductions noted and the trade-in value unknown at this time, the cost will not exceed $55,460.95.  The FY 2025 budget includes $56,941.00 for the replacement of the existing 2008 Chevrolet van.
